Latest Update News About Lfo, Rich Cronin: Rich Cronin, the former lead singer of the pop group LFO, has passed away after a long battle with leukemia at the age of 35, TMZ.com is reporting. The singer, who penned the group’s smash hit song ‘Summer Girls’ in 1999, suffered a stroke as a result of his leukemia, and reportedly passed away this afternoon as a result.

rich croninCronin was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in March of 2005, after suffering from constant headaches. Initial treatment was successful and in January of 2006 he went into remission. He even developed his own foundation called the Rich Cronin Hope Foundation with a goal of raising awareness of the disease as well as hoping to promote blood donation and encourage people to donate bone marrow.
